Seamless — Larraine Seiden

Seamless series 2022 - present

The Seamless series is about transformation of the unseen work that holds things together. Drawing with seams cut from spent clothing, I make gestural lines that hover and dance above a collage of domestically collected papers. By taking the seams out of their quotidian context they become fluid and poetic, like bodies set free.

All works are acrylic mixed media and collage on canvas unless otherwise specified.
